Inclusive & Affirming Leadership
About the speaker, Ally Isom, republican candidate for the US Senate:
Ally Isom has been shaped by life’s challenges and opportunities. She navigated her way out of poverty to a university education, graduating from Brigham Young University-Provo in political science and communications. Throughout difficult pregnancies and children’s health challenges, Ally was immersed in Republican grassroots politics and community service, including time on the Kaysville City Council. She held posts in Utah’s state government, including deputy director of the Dept. of Community and Culture, government relations director for the Dept. of Workforce Services, and deputy chief of staff, communication director and spokesperson for Governor Gary Herbert. Ally then worked at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in public affairs, communication and branding, before moving to the private sector as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, and eventually acting Executive Officer, for EVOQ Nano.
In 2021 Utah Business named Ally one of “30 Women to Watch.” She and her husband, Eric, have four children and five grandchildren. Ally enjoys writing, hiking, cooking, and mole poblano, preferably on a beach. Ally is currently a Republican candidate for the United States Senate.
