WPH July 22 Webinar:
Managing Expectations: Lessons for Business and Life
What do my orthodontist, your plumber and the stock market have in common? We don’t react to what happens to us in life, we react to the difference between what we thought would happen and what actually did. It’s all about managing expectations.
We’re going to talk about managing expectations and other behavioral characteristics like framing to help us navigate a world of COVID-19 and other changes. Join us for an engaging discussion on how to manage expectations in a world of uncertainty.
Presented by Jacob Sybrowsky
As the founder of the Personal Financial Planning program at Utah Valley University, Dr. Jacob P. Sybrowsky is passionate about program development and engaged learning or “DELTA" (Deep Engaged Learning & Transformative Activities) experiences for all students. In his current position as Associate Dean of the Woodbury School of Business, Sybrowsky utilizes his expertise in program creation by mentoring faculty at a top-tier teaching university and facilitating community and industry outreach opportunities.
Sybrowsky holds a Ph.D. in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics with a minor in Korean. He served as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Los Angeles Mission, speaking Korean.
On the rare occasion when he isn’t working, Jacob enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife, Carrie, and “most beautiful little girls in the world”- daughters, Elizabeth, Catherine, Ruth & Jane and their newest little addition Jacob Jr. (aka little cub, little buddy or little man). As a family, they spend time running together and enjoy developing their heirloom garden. Most recently, they have added beekeeping to a growing list of family hobbies.
