Presented by Jessica Gilmore, EdD
Jessica Gilmore, EdD serves as Associate Commissioner for Workforce Development & Industry Engagement for the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE), where she works across public and private institutions, industry and governmental agencies to drive workforce and industry engagement, and align academic programs to ensure increased student access, success and completion across the USHE system.
Dr. Gilmore has extensive experience in community education, outreach and economic development, having overseen the successful expansion of a variety of professional, community and continuing education, concurrent enrollment, business incubation and acceleration, and commercialization programs. She previously served as Associate Provost of Community Outreach and Economic Development at Utah Valley University and as Dean of Business, Entrepreneurial Programs and Extended Education at Walla Walla Community College. She also previously served as Director of Customer Experience at Pearson Education, a global higher education courseware, assessment and online program management company, and as Faculty Member in the Business Information Technology department at Highline Community College. She has also served extensively as an Executive Board Member, Board Member and Committee Member for various higher education and community councils, commissions and associations focused on community outreach, workforce education, intercollege relations and economic development.
Dr. Gilmore earned her Doctorate degree in Education with an emphasis in Higher Education Leadership from City University of Seattle, earned her Master’s degree in Computer Education from Gonzaga University, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Central Washington University.
