The UVU College of Humanities and Social Sciences, in conjunction with its sponsors and supporters, is proud to present the 2020 UVU Conference on Domestic Violence. This single-day conference--designed to meet the needs and interests of professionals, service providers, families, community members, and students--will provide information on a wide range of topics dealing with domestic, intimate partner, dating, and interpersonal violence. This event is scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2020 and will be held in the Sorensen Student Center on UVU campus.
At this year's conference, we're delighted to welcome New York Times bestselling author Leslie Morgan Steiner. Leslie's unique experience as a survivor of domestic violence, workplace harassment, and eating and addiction disorders make her a unique and inspirational voice for female empowerment, no matter one’s age. Leslie’s books, articles, and TedTalks address work/family balance, surviving relationship violence, solutions to infertility, developing a positive body image, and instilling self-esteem in our daughters.
This conference will also feature a plenary speaker in addition to a variety of concurrent sessions intended to help participants to connect and find hope as they explore the issues surrounding intimate partner, dating, and interpersonal violence.
